Understanding the price

How much do MIA Femtech and Preservé cost?

In our August 2026 price guide, MIA Femtech costs 8,995 EUR and Preservé starts at 7,900 EUR at Dr. Aso Clinic in Madrid.

These are not average prices for Spain or prices for every breast operation. They apply to primary augmentation when the patient meets the technique’s suitability criteria. A written individual estimate confirms the proposed treatment and conditions.

What the surgical estimate covers

What is included in the MIA and Preservé prices?

Both estimates cover the clinical components of surgery and follow-up within the clinic’s protocol. Before surgery, you receive the proposed technique, price and conditions in writing. For patients traveling to Madrid, the location and timing of follow-up need to be agreed separately.

Anesthesia assessment and care throughout the procedure.

Hospital

Operating room, hospital materials and recovery before day-case discharge.

The relevant implants and dedicated MIA or Preservé instruments.

Preoperative assessment

Preoperative tests and the medical planning specified for the patient.

Separate costs

What is not included?

Both techniques

Surgical insurance: approximately 120 EUR

Surgical insurance is not included in the published prices. The guide gives an indicative cost of approximately 120 EUR. Coverage, exclusions and conditions must be explained before you purchase it; do not assume it covers international travel or all future treatment.

A practical difference

Postoperative bra

Included with MIA. For Preservé, it is purchased separately and generally costs 30–45 EUR, depending on the prescribed model.

A different surgical plan

Additional procedures

A breast lift, complex tuberous-breast correction, implant exchange, implant removal or reconstructive surgery is not included in the price of standard primary augmentation.

Explaining the difference

Why does MIA cost more than the Preservé starting price?

The published difference from Preservé’s starting price is 1,095 EUR. This reflects MIA’s dedicated materials, single-use devices, delivery system and manufacturer coverage. As stated in the clinic’s Spanish price guide, the clinic’s margin does not increase when MIA is recommended.

A higher price does not automatically mean greater safety or a better option for every patient. Both involve the same surgeon, surgical team and anesthesiologist in a hospital setting. The first decision is which technique fits the anatomy and desired outcome; price should not replace that assessment.

Biconvex Diamond implants used in MIA Femtech
MIA uses a biconvex Diamond implant and a dedicated armpit delivery system. Manufacturer coverage must be distinguished from the costs of any future operation.
Understanding your estimate

What are MIA and Preservé, and how do they differ?

Both are tissue-preserving breast augmentation techniques using implants. In our protocol, the implants are placed in a prepectoral or subglandular position, in front of the muscle. A balloon-type device starts and expands the pocket in a controlled manner before implant insertion with the technique’s dedicated system. Neither is a filler treatment or a nonsurgical procedure.

Armpit access

MIA Femtech

MIA uses a biconvex Diamond implant and an armpit incision averaging approximately 2.3 cm. It is designed for a modest increase and requires anatomy suited to a more standardized protocol.

Breast-fold access

Preservé

Preservé uses Motiva Ergonomix2 implants and an incision averaging approximately 2.5 cm in the inframammary fold. It offers more implant sizes and flexibility in planning. A procedure using another implant is not strictly the Preservé protocol.

The full comparison covers volume, projection, folds, asymmetry, tuberous anatomy, drooping, scars and suitability.

Day-case protocol

Anesthesia, discharge and recovery

In our practice, both MIA and Preservé use local anesthesia and intravenous sedation administered and monitored by an anesthesiologist, without intubation. Discharge is often possible after 2–3 hours if recovery and clinical criteria allow. Your individual anesthesia plan and discharge instructions are confirmed by the team.

Actual timing depends on your work and individual recovery; this does not mean you are ready to fly.

Our early experience has not shown a clinically meaningful difference in pain or recovery speed between MIA and Preservé. Recovery varies and should not be described as pain-free. More detail is available in our article on pain and recovery after breast augmentation.

Consultations and payment

Consultation fees and financing

Initial assessment

In-person consultation · 100 EUR

At the first consultation, we assess your anatomy, discuss your goals and compare MIA, Preservé and conventional augmentation. This appointment takes place in Madrid.

Initial assessment

Video consultation · 100 EUR

You can start with a video consultation in English before traveling. It helps discuss your goals and options, but an in-person examination is needed to confirm suitability and surgical planning.

Second opinion or revision

Second opinion or revision

An initial consultation is 100 EUR. If you have had previous breast surgery, the assessment also reviews your history, implants and existing concerns. Bring relevant records and confirm which appointment format is appropriate.

When the estimate changes

Not every patient needs straightforward primary augmentation

An examination may show that loss of volume is not the only issue. If another operation is appropriate, its price should not be presented as a standard MIA or Preservé augmentation.

Breast lift

Drooping that requires skin removal and reshaping, with or without an implant.

Tuberous breasts or asymmetry

Anatomy requiring more complex glandular or fold correction.

Revision surgery

Implant replacement or removal, capsular contracture, rupture or correction after previous surgery.

To compare primary-augmentation options and their costs, see the general guide to breast augmentation costs (Spanish).

Traveling to Madrid

Budget separately for travel and optional premium support

Flights, accommodation, transfers and personal travel costs are not included in the surgical prices above. Agree your stay, postoperative checks and fitness to travel with the clinical team before booking.

Optional, not required

Premium support from an additional 2,000 EUR

A personalized Panathea program can be arranged separately. A typical starting program includes a personal nurse during the first postoperative week, daily home visits and 24/7 contact, plus selected at-home wellness services. The exact services and price are confirmed individually.

Tailored additions

Accommodation and transport by arrangement

Accommodation, a driver, transfers and other logistics can be added to a customized premium program. Do not assume that these are included in the 2,000 EUR starting price. The package is entirely optional and does not replace the surgeon’s postoperative follow-up.

Common questions

MIA and Preservé pricing FAQs

How much does MIA Femtech cost in Spain?
There is no single price across Spain. Dr. Aso Clinic’s August 2026 guide lists MIA at 8,995 EUR, including VAT, for eligible primary augmentation. Your written estimate confirms the treatment and conditions.
How much does Preservé cost?
At our clinic, Preservé starts at 7,900 EUR, including VAT. The estimate may vary because the technique permits a wider range of volumes and anatomical adjustments than standard MIA.
Do the prices include VAT?
Yes. The MIA price of 8,995 EUR and the Preservé starting price of 7,900 EUR include VAT.
What is included?
Implants, surgeon and surgical team, anesthesiologist, hospital, preoperative assessment, medication, follow-up visits and ultrasound checks within the clinic’s protocol. Initial consultations and the separate expenses described above are not part of the headline surgical price.
Are surgical insurance and the bra included?
Insurance is separate, with an indicative cost of approximately 120 EUR in the guide. A postoperative bra is included with MIA; for Preservé, it is separate and generally costs 30–45 EUR, depending on the model. Confirm insurance terms and exclusions before purchase.
Why does MIA cost more?
The difference reflects its materials, dedicated delivery system and manufacturer coverage. According to the clinic’s price guide, the clinic’s margin is not higher for MIA. A higher price does not make it the better technique for every patient.
Is MIA breast augmentation without surgery?
No. It is minimally invasive surgery involving incisions, pocket preparation and implant placement in an operating room. Our protocol uses local anesthesia and sedation without intubation; it is not a filler or a nonsurgical treatment.
Can MIA and Preservé be financed?
Financing can be requested for both, subject to the lender’s terms and approval. International patients should ask whether their country of residence and circumstances meet the lender’s eligibility requirements; approval is not guaranteed.
What happens at the first consultation?
The initial consultation costs 100 EUR, either in person in Madrid or by video. We discuss your anatomy, goals and suitable options. A video appointment can start the conversation before travel, but it does not replace the in-person examination needed for definitive surgical planning.
Does the price change if I need a lift or revision?
Yes. These prices are for primary MIA or Preservé augmentation. A lift, complex tuberous-breast correction, implant replacement or removal, or reconstructive surgery requires a different plan and specific estimate.
The right decision starts with anatomy

Choose the appropriate technique, then confirm the estimate

If both techniques are suitable, we explain their differences, use simulation and comparable cases to guide expectations, and provide a written estimate. If a different operation is needed, we explain that before presenting a price. For patients traveling to Madrid, travel, accommodation and optional premium support must be budgeted separately.
