Breast surgery and augmentation experience
Breast surgery is a major focus of Dr. Aso’s clinical practice, research and teaching. The approach is selected after assessing your anatomy, tissue quality, existing breast volume, any asymmetry and the outcome you hope to achieve.
A plan based on your anatomy
Breast augmentation involves more than choosing an implant volume. Planning considers chest width, breast base, implant shape and projection, placement, incision location and the tissue’s ability to cover and support the implant.
Depending on your anatomy and preferences, the recommendation may be conventional augmentation, a minimally invasive approach such as MIA Femtech® or Preservé®, or a different procedure for sagging, tuberous breasts, significant asymmetry or previous surgery.
Conventional breast augmentation
Implant volume, shape, profile, incision and placement can be tailored to a wide range of anatomies.
- Clinical planning and 3D simulation.
- Round, anatomical or ergonomic implants.
- Prepectoral, dual-plane or submuscular placement, as appropriate.
MIA Femtech®
A minimally invasive approach through the armpit for selected patients seeking a modest increase in volume. Suitability and recovery are assessed individually.
- Access through the armpit.
- The incision is not located on the breast.
- Limited volume increase and specific anatomical criteria.
Preservé®
A tissue-preserving approach designed to minimize disruption to breast structures in suitable patients. Recovery varies from person to person.
- Aims for a moderate increase and a natural-looking result.
- Usually prepectoral implant placement.
- Clinical and teaching experience presented in 2026.
Revision and complex breast surgery
Assessment and treatment when breast reshaping, correction of anatomical concerns or surgery after a previous procedure is needed.
- Breast lift, with or without implants.
- Tuberous breasts and asymmetry.
- Implant revision and breast reconstruction.
